Whether you are new to the field, still in school or a media industry veteran, #AAJA19 is a must-attend event for media professionals and future journalists looking to network and grow in their careers.
The four-day training and recruiting conference includes plenary sessions, panel workshops and small-group seminars so that our attendees can return to their news organizations the following Monday with new skills, ideas and insight.
Our job fair and recruiter meetings feature top news and media companies, along with universities, organizations and companies eager to expose their brands to AAJA’s network of talented journalists, students and media professionals.
We know that hiring is based on meaningful relationships. That’s why once you register for #AAJA19, we will facilitate personalized, in-person interactions between potential job candidates and recruiters – leading up to, during and after the convention.
#AAJA19 will culminate on Aug. 3 with a closing gala banquet featuring the recipients of AAJA scholarships and awards, to recognize excellence in journalism. And of course, we’ll close the night with karaoke.
All online registrations will be accepted until July 24 at 11:59pm PT! After this date, attendees will only be able to register onsite at The Loews Atlanta hotel beginning Wednesday, July 31.

Gala: All registrations excluding the Day Passes include a ticket to the 2019 Gala Scholarships & Award Banquet on Saturday, Aug. 3. You may purchase a gala ticket if you do not wish to attend the full convention.
Represent!: Full professional and student convention registrations include access to Represent! on Saturday, Aug. 3. Thursday and Friday day passes do not include access to Represent!.
Cancellations: To cancel or transfer your registration, send a request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. A refund will be processed minus a $25 administrative fee. The last day to request a cancellation and refund or transfer is July 24.
